Facilities Resources & Planning (formerly Facilities Planning and Design Review) in the department Facilities and Campus Development includes the following reporting units: Interior Design; Project Administration; Quality Assurance; Relocation Services; Reuse Services and Zero Waste.

Responsibilities

  • Creation and implementation of GW Design Standards 
  • Design review for construction projects to ensure compliance with design standards and best practices
  • Managing, monitoring and supporting overall coordination of designs, procurement and installation of furniture, fixtures and equipment components
  • Capital budget planning in alignment with University initiatives, mission, goals, and available funding
  • Project Administration
  • Quality Assurance
  • Relocation Services
  • Reuse Services
  • Zero Waste
  • Estimating
  • ADA strategic planning of barrier removal projects 
  • Oversight of the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification process for new construction and major renovations
  • Guide design and installation of green roofs on campus
