The university provides funding to GW Facilities Services for maintaining most university-owned buildings on Foggy Bottom Campus so there is no charge for service requests. The exceptions to this are buildings which have Building Managers who authorize payment for all repairs and maintenance performed by Facilities Services.  (The university provides funding to GW Facilities Services for maintaining most university-owned buildings on Foggy Bottom Campus so there is no charge for service requests. The exceptions to this are buildings which have Building Managers who authorize payment for all repairs and maintenance performed by Facilities Services.

  • Lerner Health and Wellness Center
  • The George Washington University & The Textile Museum (submit requests to Richard Timpson)
  • GW Parking Garages: all parking garages and lots including the parking spaces in academic, administrative, and residence hall buildings only (submit requests to [email protected]).
  • Marvin Center (submit requests to Julius Serrano, [email protected][email protected] il.gwu.edu )
  • Milken  Institute School of Public Health (submit requests to John Twomey, [email protected])
  • Medical Center:  Ross Hall, Himmelfarb Library, and GW Hospital 6th Floor only (submit requests to Ken Crosson, Building Manager, [email protected]).

FixIt request for maintenance in one of these buildings (except for Medical Center) will result in a message notifying the requestor that the Building Manager must first approve the request before it is submitted to Facilities Services. Until the Building Manager approves the request, Facilities Services does not receive the request and therefore cannot take action on the request.

When the Building Manager approves or rejects the service request, FixIt will send an email to the requestor that the Building Manager has approved or rejected their service request.  If rejected, the Building Manager will provide an explanation for rejecting/not approving the request. If accepted, FixIt forwards the request to Facilities Services and your request will be processed in the order received.

Property managers for other properties oversee the general conditions of GW’s buildings and serve as a point of contact for staff and faculty with concerns. Below is a list of academic and administrative property managers and the buildings they are assigned to.
