Facilities Facts

Facilities Services is committed to providing quality service to our customers with an established a service metric that targets completion of 85% of routine work requests within five days and emergency requests within one day (note: an emergency is characterized as a problem that will jeopardize a person's safety, cause damage or loss of property or will significantly disrupt university activities).  Completion times may vary based upon volumes or time of year (such as start of the semester) - however, every effort is made to complete requests as quickly as possible at all times.

Service metrics for most recent three months:

  • June: 1217 requests were completed. 74.0% achieved our completion standard.****
  • May: 922 requests were completed. 65.6% achieved our completion standard.****
  • April: 814 requests were completed. 61.3% achieved our completion standard.****

    ****Please note these numbers are significantly impacted by the closure of GW's campuses to most student/faculty/staff which began March 16 due to COVID-19.

We continue to work to improve the responsiveness of our services and seek to continuously improve the services provided by our team.
